We are very intentional about creating and maintaining a thriving culture. This includes monitoring areas like employee satisfaction, wellness, and happiness. It means reevaluating our benefit offerings each year, investing in salary benchmarking software, and surveying our team weekly with 5 randomly selected questions using WorkLeap’s OffceVibe.
It also means taking a professional approach to running our business. We run on the business operating platform called EOS, and we play the Great Game of Business so employees know where we stand financially, where they stand financially, and the most granular areas where they can help us succeed. It also helps the full company work towards our goal of becomming employee-owned by 2030.
In the last few years, it’s also meant adding leadership, management, critical thinking, and financial wellness coaching and courses. It’s meant building out a skillset matrix for our technicians, so they know where they stand and how they can grow.
Finally, it means running our company using servant leadership, engaging our team members in decisions, trusting them to make smart decisions, and helping them learn and grow along the way. In 2026, we are very excited to announce that we’ve made the Crain’s Detroit Business, Best Places to Work in Michigan list for our efforts!
On Thursday, August 20, 8 of us joined 99 other business selected from the state of Michigan to celebrate this honor. The event was held at Top Golf in Rochester. Below are a few photos from the day’s activities! We brought our Leadership Team, one co-owner, and our two additional longest tenured employees. We had a blast!
